X-Family Jean Grey X-Men | greyate RELATIONSHIP Jean's pretty chill so far as fellow X-Men who aren't his father's age goes, but boy oh boy would it have been nice for their first text convo to not devolve into a screaming match and outed hypocrisy. He's a little put off but not writing their friendship off (or anything close to it,) but a breather before they next interact might be great. That said, he's grateful to her for what she did in Cairo and how she was totally badass. They haven't spent a whole lot of time together but they seem to have similar mindsets, so she's probably going to be seeing a lot of him whether she wants to or not. (Who else will put up with him?) BACK TO TOP James "Logan" Howlett X-Men | el_paso RELATIONSHIP Logan's cool but disgusting. He knows him from '73 when they broke Erik out of solitary at the Pentagon but aside from that they haven't really exactly become besties. In fact Logan's kind of intimidating - reason enough it's strange to think he somehow fathered a kid. Then again, so did Erik. BACK TO TOP Laura X-Men | coercive RELATIONSHIP Laura's pretty cool, mutant claws and miniature Loganisms aside. He thinks of her like a little sister of sorts, falling back into the habits and routines of an older brother instinctively. So far it's been friendly, fun and cool but there will come a time where one of them tries the other's patience and petty squabbling may occur. BACK TO TOP Erik Lehnsherr X-Men | magneticfields RELATIONSHIP HI DAD. Okay, so Peter's still trying to process the situation at hand - that being that he's now, for the foreseeable future, stuck in very close proximity to his father who still doesn't know that he's his father. And while he went off on Jean in a spiel about how Charles might like to know secrets collectively kept from him, he just... can't find the words to tell Erik the truth yet. How do you even start that conversation? He knows it's just going to get worse with time but part of him just wants to get to know Erik first. Learn what he can before dropping another bombshell on the guy. Otherwise Peter's feelings toward Erik are still mixed. He wants to believe in Erik's explanations but at the same time can't help having an opinion that was shaped by the media, the reactions of society and other people's feelings toward what he's done. Magneto is a name carved into history for better or worse and Peter, being his son, wants to know more about the guy under the helmet. He has more questions than he knows what to do with but no idea of how to tackle the challenge of asking. BACK TO TOP Wanda Maximoff MCU | seeingscarlet RELATIONSHIP His multiverse twin, different yet so similar. Peter feels an obvious connection to his twin but they aren't a perfect match like they used to be. Maybe time will help meld them together a bit better but there's no denying that they can't replace their other versions of themselves. But they can, for the time being, be the company they're missing. He's grateful she's here. Very grateful. BACK TO TOP Rogue X-Men | notmarieanymore RELATIONSHIP Peter doesn't know much about Rogue but he does think she's pretty cool and being a fellow mutant helps with the kinship. The jury's out on how or if their timelines line up at all but they're definitely from different eras. She's shared some choice gossip with him and he can't wait to chat and discover more. Jean and Scott, eh? Damn. Who'd have thought. Peter's surprised to hear he's got his hair (the only good thing about not knowing about Cairo?) but he still doesn't know how to breach the whole "why the chair?" convo so he's gonna skip on through. It's interesting since when they knew each other in '73 he didn't demonstrate any of his abilities (serum, who knew?) but Peter's curious now to see just what Charles can get up to. Also sorry about #CRUTCHESGATE. Seriously dude. But you started it.
